(b. 3 November 1904 – d. 7 June 1959) Little is known about the wife of Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto and much that has been pieced together is from hearsay, speculation and rumour. We know that when marrying Sir Shah Nawaz, she converted from Hinduism to Islam and was likely also from Larkana district. She was a devotee of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and was deeply spiritual. Her connection to Sindh’s landscapes of saints and shrines was then inherited by her son, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who himself was deeply devoted to the shrine of Qalandar Shahbaz where he installed a golden door gifted by the overthrown Shah of Iran, Shah Reza Pahlavi.
