Al-Fatah October 7-14, 1977

The Urdu-language socialist weekly Al-Fatah, dated October 7-14, 1977, was edited by Wahab Siddiqui. This edition contains five sections. First is Wahid Bashir’s article, “Postponement of Elections: Background and Consequences.” The second article, “Remember the Lesson of 1971,” is by Hossein Naqi, and he discusses saving Pakistan from the Maududi’s ideology. The third section features Omair Shiraz’s piece on the Election Commission’s request to delay elections. The fourth section is Ehsan Azim’s report on the railway accident near Dadu. Lastly, Wahab Siddique’s article analyzes the Alliance of religious parties and PMLN, and provides an analysis of PPP.
